Törggelen

Did you know ?

The word "törggelen" comes from the Latin "torculum", which means "twist, press, squeeze," refers, in fact, the pressing of grapes after harvest. So it can be traced back to the word "Torggl" indicates the wine press. Previous Toerggelen took place in the chamber of the press, but in the meantime moved into Buschenschänke (Converted wine cellars) and has become a tourist attraction.

Here at the Brandiskeller from late September to mid-November, we serve the traditional Törgellen, where they cannot miss the suser (sweet wine) and freshly roasted chestnuts on a daily basis as well as sauerkraut, smoked meat and bacon dumplings.

There is no better place than the a original wine cellar for the Toerggelen.

Then it's time to pass by and get to know this unique place.

In this season we advise you to book in advance, because it is very popular.
